Dr Finney received the NFL Team Physician Society Outstanding Team Physician of the Year Award for 2005. He has participated in the training of LSU family practice sports medicine fellows.

Timothy P. Finney,
M.D. received his orthopaedic training
at Louisiana State University Medical School. He completed a fellowship is
sports medicine and arthroscopy at Sports Medicine West in Salt Lake City,
Utah. Dr Finney has worked with high school, intercollegiate,
semi-professional and professional athletics’ in the Greater New Orleans
area. He was selected as one of the U.S. Olympic team physicians in 1996.
His interests include sports related injuries and pathology of the
shoulder, and knee.
