Prescription Renewal
To refill a prescription, please contact your pharmacy and ask them to fax a refill request to our prescription
fax line at (504) 897-6442. Unfortunately, requests must originate from the pharmacy.
Prescription Guideline and Limits
- Please do not wait until the "last minute" to request a refill. Your health insurance carrier may have refill limits for your medications.
- We will make every attempt to refill prescriptions within 2 business days from your pharmacy's request (excluding holidays and weekends)
- Refill requests will not be accepted from telephone messages left on our office telephone number.
- Some prescription refills require an office visit with your physician. Your pharmacy will notify you.
- Some medications, particularly "narcotic" medicines, require a written original prescription and pharmacies can not fill these medications without an original prescription.
